Product description and characteristics

Contrafreeze is a non-chloride liquid hardening fastener and ingredient against frost with plastification effect determined for concrete and cement mortars. It is a colorless liquid with density of 1,25 kg/l, pH 7,0-9,0 compatibile with Portland and Strusko-Portland cement; application of different ingredients should be tried in advance. It leads to the fast increase of initial mixture solidity and towards final solidity increase as well. It keeps unchanged mixture hardening during the period of 60 minutes.

Product Application

It is used mainly to shorten time of thermal protection while laying concrete and masonry at low temperetures; to shorten time unboarding monolite concretes and constructions; to shorten time in order to reach out-forming and manipulation product solidity from concrete and ferro-concrete. To improve mortar quality improvement and to fasten hardening time at low temperatures.

Storage

Store from + 0°C up to + 25°C in original closed package. Dispose covers into refusal collection of plastic covers after their rinsing! WARNING!!! The substance is not inflammable in a liguid state, however it may not be in contact with paper, wood, textile where, after drying, at favourable conditions it may cause self-ignition of these substances. It is forbidden to refill the covers of Contrafreeze substance.

Application instructions:

  1. Options of dosing from 0,5 to 3 litres per 100 kg cement /Portland cement/.
  2. Recommended consumption at surrounding temperature up to –5 °C is 1,5-2 litres per 100 kg cement.

Contrafreeze is measured when mixing, diluted by water, into mixture in order to make perfect homogenization – ingredients at whole substance content. Concrete mixture temperature before its laying /application/ may not decrease under +5°C for creating ideal application properties. Fresh concrete temperature keep over frost point by thermoisolation sheet until the period of obtaining the minimum required solidity.
